This is Kamigori Station on the Chizu Express, and the platform for regular trains is separated from JR. [Explanation below] Kamigori Station is a station of West Japan Railway Company (JR West) and Chizu Express located in Daimochi, Kamigori-cho, Akaho-gun, Hyogo Prefecture. It is a station that connects the Sanyo Main Line of JR West and the Chizu Line of Chizu Express, and the latter starts from this station. The limited express train heading for Tottori via this station will enter the Chizu line, so the crew will be changed. It is the westernmost station under the jurisdiction of the Kinki Headquarters (Kobe Branch), and the boundary marker is installed near the entrance on the Kobe side of the Funasaka Tunnel. The JR station is a directly managed station and is under the control of Aioi station, but the stationmaster is assigned as a district station. ICOCA can only be used by JR. Although it is not possible to board the Chizu Express with the ICOCA charge, from April 1, 2020, we started purchasing tickets by credit card and transportation electronic money payment. According to Shunzo Miyawaki's "Timetable Showa History", the September 1945 issue has a regular "507 train" for Aomori, which departs from this station at 6:59 and ends. I arrived at Aomori station the next day at 17:06 (the time required was 34 hours and 7 minutes). This train was taken over by the train number of the express "Nipponkai" in 1950 (Showa 25). The distance between stations of the neighboring Mitsuishi station is 12.8km, which is the longest distance between stations on the Sanyo Main Line.
