I downloaded the application, but without a credit card, I couldn't get a membership number, so I logged onto the website and made a reservation online. The car was in good shape. I rented it for almost 12 hrs, and only after driving two hours did the gas tank drop. When I refilled the tank before returning it, it only cost me ¥700 (~$7). Kei-car is such a good economical option. It's easy to park, save on gas, and fit on narrow roads. When you rent a car as a foreigner, it's helpful to understand conversational Japanese because they have to go over a liability contract with you. I'm from the US, but I have a Japanese driver's license, so I'm not sure how the service works with international driving permits or foreign licenses (UK, Australia, Canada...)
