★ ★ ★ ★ ★ この辺り一帯は江戸時代に上高井戸宿があった場所です。
新宿ができるまでは、江戸を発ち甲州街道を行くと一番最初の宿場町が高井戸宿でした。
江戸からの距離（あるいは、江戸までの距離）が中途半端ということもあり高井戸宿は大規模なものではありませんでしたが、大名が泊まる本陣「武蔵屋」もありました。
今ではこの辺りが宿場町だった痕跡は見当たりませんが、唯一この公園の名前がそれを偲ばせるのみです。
上高井戸一丁目の交差点のすぐ東側に、個人邸宅だと思いますが「並木」家がありました。
並木家といえば、高井戸宿本陣武蔵屋を運営していたのが並木家です。
場所柄おそらくその子孫の方のお家なんでしょうね・・・。
This area is the place where Kamitakaido inn was located in the Edo period.
Until Shinjuku was built, Takaido-juku was the first post town on the Koshu Kaido from Edo.
The Takaido inn was not a large scale because the distance from Edo (or the distance to Edo) was halfway, but there was also the main camp "Musashiya" where the daimyo stayed.
There are no traces of this area being a post town now, but the name of this park is the only one that reminds me of it.
Just east of the intersection of Kamitakaido 1-chome, I think it was a private residence, but there was a "Namiki" house.
Speaking of the Namiki family, it was the Namiki family who ran the Takaido-juku Honjin Musashiya.
The location is probably the house of the descendants ...
