★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This Kakunodate ceramics family of artists are working with Shiraiwa ceramic local technique - the warm brown clay with dripping thick deep blue glazes - in inspired contemporary designs. They are true artists who work with a traditional authentic kiln. Each piece is creatively and meticulously crafted. Her large works are sculptural and spectacular. A tiny showroom shop in a small area outside of the main town - access by car or taxi.
