とくに桜には沿道に植えられた桜を眺めながらサイクリングできます。
ただし、後ろには十分注意してください。
速く走る方が追い抜いてくる可能性がありますのでフラフラ走ると危険です。
この区間は補給する店や自販機がないのでしっかりと準備しましょう。

両側に草が生い茂る時期があるが刈り取られる。
許可車両以外侵入できないので比較的安全。
2022/3/31まで平日工事封鎖中。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ サイクリストにとってはひたすら平坦なタイムトライアルをするのに絶好の場所。出口側、入口側に柵があるため、河川関係者以外の車がいない。
トライアスロン用の自転車に乗っている人も多く、人気の場所なのだろう。
A great place for cyclists to have a flat time trial. There are fences on the exit side and entrance side, so there are no cars other than those involved in the river.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 東海大橋を渡っていると北側に立派な桜並木が見えました。木曽川と長良川の流れを分ける堤防に約2km並木が続いています。毎年桜祭りが開かれる岐阜の桜の名所だったんですね。知らなかった。
車は侵入禁止です。自転車は入っていいんですよね？多分！走ってみたいですね。
背割堤といえば、大昔、小学校の遠足で、渡し舟で木曽川を渡り、延々と背割堤を歩いた覚えがあります。くそ暑かった中、ダート道を延々と！今でもダート道なんでしょうか？

A row of trees continues for about 2km on the embankment that divides the flow of the Kiso and Nagara rivers. It was a famous place for cherry blossoms in Gifu, where the cherry blossom festival is held every year. I did not know.
