★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 旧勢多郡富士見村は昔から水不足に悩まされており、明治初期に地元の篤農家船津伝次平が明治初期に赤城山のカルデラ湖の大沼(おの)からの水を引く用水を構想。紆余曲折を経てようやく昭和１６年に工事着工。しかし、戦争とトンネルの難工事に見舞われ、完成したのは昭和３２年。(1957年)この全周溢流式の円筒分水も同時に完成した。
付近は地元の方々が花を植えるなどして整備されている。駐車場はないが、車1台くらいは置くスペースが有るので、ちょっとの間車を停めて写真撮ったりすることは可能。
Fujimi Village, Seta District, has been suffering from water shortages for a long time, and in the early Meiji era, a local farmer, Denjibei Funatsu, envisioned water for drawing water from Onuma, a caldera lake on Mt. Akagi. After many twists and turns, construction started in 1945. However, it was completed in 1957 due to the war and difficult construction of the tunnel. (1957) This all-around overflow type cylindrical diversion was completed at the same time.
The area is maintained by locals planting flowers. There is no parking lot, but there is space for about one car, so it is possible to park the car for a while and take a picture.
