From my house I’d give it a fifth star. It’s worth flying from overseas to Nariata just to visit these shops. Nothing else. Just Joyful Honda.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For whatever reason, Joyful Honda seems to always have the exact things I need to buy more than the other home centres.
Some of the prices are very good too. Tsukuba rubbish bags are 400 yen (including tax) for fifty 40L bags, which is far cheaper than anywhere else, including Merci or Don Quixote. Also Ariel detergent and Joy washing up liquid are cheaper here than anywhere else. Probably some other bargains I haven't noticed.
There is also a supermarket called "Japan Meat" within the Joyful Honda compound and an artistic materials shop above the supermarket, which also does printing etc.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The oldest Joyful Honda home center and the closest to where I live in Japan. As it has grown over the years, all the divisions are not under the same roof. Interior is at the far end of the premises, but the others are pretty close to each other's.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I really like this place. It has everything, but it is really sprawled out. But everything from plants, landscaping, woodwork, construction, stationary, groceries (always crowded by the way), electronics, kitchen and bath... Everything. However, because of it being sprawled out, sometimes I prefer the smaller competitors because it is easier to find things. But, if you are really into DIY, this definitely is your place. This place is so diverse, it is like disneyland.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful garden center with many plants at good price. They have great variety of fruit and flowers. Was very excited to see pawpaws, loquat, and finger lime trees. Also very nice bonsai. Easy parking. Very big store with many different things. Easy to get lost in large store but staff is friendly. Would recommend if looking for plants.
