秋田県内で秋田銀行は、多くの自治体の指定金融機関であり、県内シェア5割でトップに君臨しています。第2位の北都銀行と合わせて2行だけで8割に達します。県内大手銀行で有るが故、保守的で良い評判と悪い評判が拮抗しています。
個人的には、今はもう閉店した「秋田銀行西支店」で、ATMにカードを忘れた際に、銀行と電話のやり取りで不快な思いをして以来は取引をしていない。県内最大の銀行という驕りがあるのか、個人客をゴミ扱いする典型的な銀行だと思います。私的には、秋田銀行は別に無くても困らない銀行ですね。「驕る平家は久しからず」かな？
