Ebihara on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 浄法寺は、藤岡市街から鬼石へ向かう県道１３号線沿いにあります。浄法寺は地名にもなっています。宗旨宗派天台宗で、本尊は阿弥陀如来　札所本尊は正観世音菩薩です。南毛三十三観音霊場　第二十五番札所にもなっています。本山は滋賀県大津市の比叡山延暦寺。古くは緑野寺と称し聖徳太子草創の古刹で、聖武天皇の勅願により道忠禅師が開基となっている。弘仁六(815)年には天台宗の宗祖伝教大師が巡錫し鎮護国家の宝塔を建立し、一大道場にしたと伝えられています。戦国時代の天文二十一(1552)年に北条方の高山氏に攻められ、その戦火により宝塔伽藍ことごとくが灰燼に帰し、寺領を北条氏に没収されたが、四年後の弘治二年(1556)舜祐和尚が再建し現在に至った。境内には江戸時代再建という相輪があります。また、駐車場の先に、大きな金色の伝教大師尊像があり、その右には、彰徳地蔵尊があります。 Johoji is located on prefectural road No. 13 that goes from the city of Fujioka to Onishi.
