One of the stages of the "Legend of the King of Billions and Kings of Hong Kong", which remains in Tango.
The deity is a child of Prince Ichinobe no Oshiban, the prince of the 17th Emperor Richu, who says "Millionaire King's Order".
The reason why there is a shrine where such a royal family is enshrined is because he lived in hiding here.
His father, Prince Ichinobe no Oshiwa, was very close to his cousin, Emperor Anko, the 20th, and Emperor Anko was thinking of making the next emperor Ichinobe no Oshiwa.
Emperor Anko's younger brother, Prince Otomarise (later enthroned and the 21st Emperor Yuryaku), was confused when Emperor Anko was assassinated. I invited him to hunt wild boars in Gamono and pretended to be a wild boar and killed him.
The vassal of Prince Ichinobe no Oshiwa fled to Tanba Province (Tamba and Tango have not been separated yet) with King Emperor Kenzo and his younger brother Emperor Kenzo, thinking that the children would be in danger of their lives, and became a local lord. It seems that he was hidden.
It is said that his brother, Emperor Kenzo, lived here at Kamimiya Shrine, and his brother, Emperor Kenzo, lived near Shimomiya Shrine, which is a little further north.
Perhaps they changed the place to hide for fear of the pursuit of the hero, and there are scattered places in Tango where there is a tradition that the brothers lived.
In addition to this, Omushi Shrine (Atsue, Yosano Town), Kozumi Shrine (Kusumi, Omiya Town, Kyotango City), Suzuhiko Shrine / Suzuhime Shrine (Suzu, Miyazu City), Foot Shrine (Nambano, Miyazu City), etc.
After that, the brothers fled to Harima Province and worked as a servant of a local tribe, hiding their identity, but revealed their identity to the officials who came down from the city. At that time, Emperor Seinei, a child of Emperor Yuryaku, was welcomed to the capital as a successor, and his younger brother, Emperor Kenzo, took the throne first, followed by his brother, Emperor Kenzo. The 24th Emperor Ninken.
By the way, the tomb of Prince Ichinobe no Oshiwa exists near the famous Taromiya in Omihachiman City, Shiga Prefecture, along with the tomb of the Toneri (a vassal) who was killed together. There are many places of folklore, but since it is managed by the Imperial Household Agency, it is officially there.
