★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing scenery. If visiting the snow monkeys and up for a hike I suggest taking the northern road. No tourists, great walk. Was about 6km from the monkeys back to the station.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Distance 1.8 km. have to walk up the hill. The walkway is wet and slippery because of the melting snow. Amazing to see many monkeys playing in the hot springs.
