JASDF Niigata Air Rescue Squadron - Niigata

I was invited to an event held by the Japan Air Self-Defense Force Niigata rescue team when a person from the Air Self-Defense Force joined the company I previously worked for. I participated, but he gave me a polite, easy-to-understand explanation and put it on a helicopter. During the event there was on-premises broadcasting, and there was a scramble launch at Komatsu base, and a rescue helicopter was launched from Niigata for the backup. I was nervous. There may be people who have a strong image of Self-Defense Force = Ranger training of the Ground Self-Defense Force. By no means, there are various types of work, such as mechanics, communications, clerks, article management, and bulletin officers. Even though the type of work is different, it is no different from being a job that protects the Japanese people. If you have never been to an SDF event, please go once. You can go anywhere on land, sea and air. If you are from the Self-Defense Force, it is an important force for companies. Thank you very much.

In August 2019, I stopped by at the factory night view tour co-sponsored by Kureyon & Higashi Ward (lottery rate is 9 times !!). Although small, it is an important base on the Sea of ​​Japan side. Two helicopters and one small jet were parked, and two members took turns explaining. When I asked the nasty question, "Because it's the Japan Air Self-Defense Force, do you jump off the helicopter with a parachute?" Just at 5 pm, be sure to salute towards the hoist at any position for the flag descent at the end of the day! It was a refreshing and polite young member. After the tour and leaving the base, the helicopter took off and I wondered if my older brother was in control.
