C	Chihiro E on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 数年前、海外から友人の結婚式の招待状を待っていた時、他の友人たちは皆とっくに届いていたのに私だけ届かない。ヨーロッパは郵便事情が日本ほど良くないから遅れているのかもしれないと待っていたが、3週間経っても一向に届かない。友人は忙しい中わざわざもう一度招待状を送ってくれた。海外からの手紙がどのようなルートを辿るか調べてみたら何箇所か経由した後、白井郵便局に到着するとわかった。なので、白井郵便局に電話で問い合わせてみると電話に出た女性にそんな手紙は届いていない、ご友人が送り損ねたか海外で紛失されたかあなたの勘違いではないかとまで言われた。はっきり言って気分が悪かったし何の根拠故にここまで言い切るのかわからなかったが、ない、と言われてしまっては黙って電話を切る他なかった。しかし数時間後、郵便局から電話がありなんと手紙が見つかったという。配送員の車に取り残されていたとか。そして友人が再送してくれた二通目の招待状もすぐに届いた。私の電話がなければ探す事もなかったのだろうか？折り返しの電話にて責任者の方が誠意を込めて謝罪してくださったが、同じような事がこの何年か後に二度程ありました。膨大な量の作業にはミスもつきものですが、システムを変えるなど何かしら策を講じることで双方無駄な時間や労力の消費を防ぐ事に繋がるのではと思います。 A few years ago, when I was waiting for a friend's wedding invitation from abroad, all my other friends had already arrived, but only me.
