黄泉比良坂（ヨモツヒラサカ）で追いつかれ間一髪のところで夫イザナギは岩を置いて塞ぎなんとか逃げ延びます。
その大岩の名前が道反之大神（チガエシノオオカミ）で、現世（生）と黄泉の国（死）の境目にある黄泉比良坂を塞ぐ役目を果たした事から村や部落の境にあって，他から侵入するものを防ぐ防塞（ぼうさい）、除災の神、塞の神（さいのかみ ）の原型ともされている村の入り口にある大岩だそうです。
とても良い磐座なのですが、落石防止のネットがかかっているのが残念です。
