城址としてはそれほど大きくはないですが、近くに流れる皆瀬川を天然の堀とし、城址の東を通る奥羽本線は堀跡を通っているそうです。
 It is maintained as a thousand year park, so you can see it without difficulty even in the summer.
Although it is not so large as a castle site, it seems that the Matsue River which flows nearby is made a natural moat, and the Ouhamon line passing east of the castle road passes through Hori.
