★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 源頼朝の実妹の婿である権中納言一条能保の庶子、従三位左中将参議の一条信能を祀る岩村神社が鎮まる。
一条信能はもと親頼朝派の公卿として鎌倉に下向していたものの、頼朝の鎌倉家を抹殺した北条氏とのちに敵対、院近臣に復した。後鳥羽院のもと承久の乱では一方の将となっている。
京方の敗戦後、幕府方に捕縛された信能は関東に送られる中途、ここ岩村で遠山氏の祖、遠山加藤景朝に斬られたという。
維新後、各地を巡幸する明治帝の意向で、終焉の地に顕彰されることになった。
岩村が鎌倉初期から中山道の要地であったことを伝える遺跡。
Iwamura Shrine, which enshrines Nobuyoshi Ichijo, the son-in-law of Minamoto no Yoritomo's sister-in-law, Nobuyoshi Ichijo, the son-in-law of the third-ranked general left, is settled.
Nobuyoshi Ichijo was originally a lord of the Yoritomo sect, but he returned to Kamakura as a hostile and a vassal of the hospital after Mr. Hojo, who killed the Kamakura family of Yoritomo. Under Go-Tobain, he is one of the generals in the Jokyu War.
It is said that Nobuyoshi, who was captured by the Shogunate after the defeat of Kyokata, was killed by Toyama Kagetomo, the ancestor of Toyama, here in Iwamura while being sent to the Kanto region.
After the Meiji Restoration, the Meiji Emperor, who traveled around the country, decided to be honored as the place of demise.
An archaeological site that tells us that Iwamura has been a key point of Nakasendo since the early Kamakura period.
