★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 五柱神社は、折古ノ浜（おりこのはま）に近い天照大神さまの5人の皇子を祀る社で因島三庄（みつのしょう）の氏神さまとしてひろく崇拝されています。
五柱神社は境内に古墳時代の積石塚があり、古くは吉備海部直（きびのあまべつのあたい）が祀られていました。1448年（室町時代：文安5年）、時の領主村上備中守源吉資の旨を受け、宮地大炊介大江資弘により「五座王子宮」として創建されました。
御祭神は、備中守が筑紫探題と深交ありし縁により、薩摩国枚聞神社より皇祖天照大御神の御子天忍穂耳尊、天穂日尊、天津彦根尊、活津彦根尊、熊野樟日尊の五神を勧請し奉斎されました。
神社名は後に「皇子宮」と称されていましたが、1871年（明治4年）に五柱神社と改称され現在に至ります。因島三庄の氏神さまとしてひろく崇拝されています。
The Five Pillar Shrine is a shrine that enshrines the five princes of Amaterasu Omikami near Orikonohama and is widely worshiped as the deity of Innoshima Mitsusho.
The Gosho Shrine has a stone mound from the Kofun period in its precincts, and in the olden days, Kibi no Amabetsu no Atai was enshrined. In 1448 (Muromachi period: 5th year of Bun'an), it was founded as "Gozaou Uterus" by Toshihiro Oe, the lord of the time, in response to the intention of Minamoto Kitchoan, the lord of the time.
As for the god of ritual, Mamoru Bichu had a close relationship with the Tsukushi quest, and from Satsuma Kuni Hiramon Shrine The five gods of Nihonson were solicited and enshrined.
The name of the shrine was later called "The Emperor's Womb", but in 1871 (Meiji 4) it was renamed to the Five Pillar Shrine and continues to this day. It is widely worshiped as the god of Innoshima Misho.

折古の浜方面へのトンネル脇から参拝歩道を利用しましたが、太鼓を修理をしていた神職さんは車で乗り付けているようでした。2019年9月のストリートビューで拡幅工事中の龍光院前の道が繋がったのでしょうね。
境内社を含めて鳥居の形状は区々。

I used the worship sidewalk from the side of the tunnel to the old beach, but the priest who was repairing the drum seemed to be riding in a car. The road in front of Ryukoin, which is under construction for widening, may have been connected by Street View in September 2019.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ しまなみ海道 因島。サイクリングという観点においては、メインルートであるブルーラインから外れた島南部に位置する本神社は、あまり知られていないと思われます。私自身もそうでした。
地蔵ヶ鼻から外周ルートを回って折古ノ浜方面に向かうと、トンネルの入口に参拝階段があります。クリスマス前でしたが年始の準備がされている境内を拝見すると、おそらく地元の方々がたくさん寄られているお宮だということが見て取れます。
高台にあるため、気持ち良い景色を眺めることもでき、心が洗われる感じでした。
Shimanami Kaido Innoshima. From a cycling perspective, this shrine, located in the southern part of the island off the main route, the Blue Line, is probably not well known. I myself was the same.
From Jizo Gana, go around the outer route toward Orikonohama, and you will find a worship staircase at the entrance of the tunnel. If you look at the precincts, which were before Christmas but are preparing for the New Year holidays, you can see that it is probably a palace where many locals are visiting.
Because it is on a hill, I was able to enjoy a pleasant view and it was a refreshing feeling.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 王子塚（直径約7mの円墳で古墳時代の積石塚）、磐座(いわくら)、尾道市の天然記念物ウバメガシがあります。
神社までの道もきれいになっており、自動車でも行けます。
There are Ojizuka (a circular mound with a diameter of about 7 m and a stone mound from the Kofun period), Iwakura, and Ubamegashi, a natural monument of Onomichi City.
The road to the shrine is also clean and can be reached by car.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 小高い丘の上にある神社。瀬戸内海の眺望も良い。折古ノ浜へ降りる道と近くのトンネルはなんとなくジブリっぽいです。
A shrine on a small hill. The view of the Seto Inland Sea is also good. The road down to Orikonohama and the nearby tunnel are somewhat Ghibli-like.
