★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stopped here on this big hike from Sumida and were so sweaty and exhausted. The cafe's food was outstanding, with these toasted hamburgers and smoothies and the waitress all chatty. I was kinda in heaven. Right next to it is a Chiyoda shoe shop and I was having trouble with the sizes, plus I couldn't say much. Well the young shy girl there knew the big sweaty hairy foreigner needed help and she found me some new big sneakers even though there was a giant language barrier. It sounds mundane but you know how things seem idyllic when you are on an adventure in a cool country. That was my happiest moment on my last trip to Japan for some reason, eatin' that food and buyin' those shoes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm not a big fan of this place but the Japanese certainly seem to like it.
It's not cheap, the food selection isn't exactly the best and it's always full of bloody kids. Even the game centre has seen better days. That place is always choc-a-bloc with rugrats.
That daid, I like the bakery downstairs, 50% off after 5pm.
