Guided tour of the warehouse was very informative! Learn about the origins and production of miso. Free tasting of miso soup at the end of the tour (delicious!). End your visit by browsing the shop and sampling their products before bringing some home

Recommend the short tour and the set meal. Guide spoke excellent English and was very passionate about his craft. Food was very nice. Ended up buying some 3 year old miso to take home. Stuff can be kept in the freezer and doesn’t freeze so ok to buy in bulk.

Nice Miso Factory run as a Family Buisness. The Owner gave me a free private tour through the Factory and explained the whole process in perfect English. The Restaurant serves great Lunch Meals and the Miso Ice Cream is a incredibly good.

Brilliant tour of their miso brewery, they are producers of Shinsyu miso (which is one of the best) and their brewery is one of the oldest. They have 130+ years old barrels still in use and the guide talks at length about the miso making process. Highly recommend going for the tour and lunch option, the food was excellent and of course was miso based. Their shop stocks some lovey items to bring home with you too. Great thing to do when you get to Matsumoto and before the castle tour!

The guided tour in English was quite informational and interesting. Did you know that Japan had banned animals from its diet for many centuries in the past? Did you know that miso is made from three simple ingredients, and that it was common for regular households to make their own miso in Japan until a few decades ago? Nor did I. Regularly this tour doesn't take questions from its guests, but if you're lucky - meaning there are only a few guests at the time of your tour - you should ask "what's the connection between a shovel and miso making?" and "how many people in the world are capable of making miso barrels?" After the tour you can try some miso soup and vegetables pickled in miso, but beware that the miso soup is not vegan. There's a small shop with all sorts miso products - yes, there are many.

One can learn about how miso comes about using the traditional method. Also to know that miso is good for health. Free sampling of miso and other tidbits all made using miso. The miso ice-cream is fantastic. Must not miss to try it out
