★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 練馬区との境に近い、杉並区の端の方にある井草八幡宮。この辺りでは一番大きな神社です。
青梅街道沿いには大きな鳥居が二つあり、そのどちらの参道からも本殿まで行けるようになっています。
こちらは大鳥居で、青梅街道にあるもうひとつは北鳥居です。メインの入口はこの2箇所ですが、青梅街道ではない、住宅街側にも小さな鳥居の入口があります。
Igusa Hachimangu is located at the end of Suginami Ward near the border with Nerima Ward. This is the largest shrine around here.
There are two large torii gates along the Ome Kaido, and you can reach the main shrine from either of these approaches.
This is the Otorii, and the other on the Ome Kaido is the Kitorii. There are two main entrances, but there is also a small torii entrance on the residential side, not on the Ome Kaido.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 青梅街道に面している井草八幡宮の大鳥居は昭和33年(1958年)建立で高さ9メートルもあり、そこから東参道を200メートル程歩きます。
東参道では5年に一度の例大祭で流鏑馬神事が行われています。
井草八幡前交差点側の北参道には大鳥居より一回り小さな赤い鳥居と、一対の大灯篭があり、これ又高さが9メートルと美しく見事です。

In Higashi-Sando, the Ryukyu Horse Shrine is held at the annual festival once every five years.
There is a red torii that is slightly smaller than the large torii gate and a pair of large lanterns on the Kitasando road on the Igusa-Hachimane crossing side.
