昼ごはん時は駅員不在（笑）となる昭和感ある駅です。
A manned station of retro Shinden Shido Line, one piece from Kawaramachi Terminal Station.
It is a Showa feeling station where no train station staff will be absent (laughs) during lunchtime.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 志度線用電車の検車区が置かれている。昔は琴平線用車両と長尾、志度線用車両と区別されていたが長尾線は路線の設備が改善され大型車が走れる様になった。結果志度線は現在元名古屋市交通局の小型の電車の天下であり考えられなかった冷房化改造工事を受け小さな車体をゆらゆらさせながら走り朝のラッシュ時には3両編成の電車も走る。
