★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 武蔵関南口の とある小坂の上にある小さな御稲荷さん。 かつて三浦半島に勢力を張っていた三浦氏の系譜に連なる関町付近の名家、井口氏が代々祀ってきたものです。 永禄13年 （ 1570年 ） 伊豆国伊東の地に、三浦氏 （ 井口氏の出自 ） の始祖三浦平太夫為道公をはじめ18代の先祖を尊んで、井口但馬守平義久公が領主となり、井口稲荷大明神を造立しました。 それを、 慶安2年 （ 1649年 ） 伊豆国伊東の地より、武蔵国豊島郡関村矢倉台 （ 現在地の当時の地名と推定される ） の地に移築され、開堂供養したのが武蔵関の井口稲荷の始まりだそうです。 現在の社殿は昭和48年 （ 1973年 ） に移築され、境内には寄進された赤鳥居8基があります。 毎年2月の初午は、関町付近の各井口家、その関係者、地元商店街の諸家、一般参詣者で賑わい、井口一族の菩提寺である日蓮宗本立寺住職が読経し催事を行った後、参詣者が各々祈願します。 「 病気の時お参りしてから医者に行くと治る 」 とされていて、現代でも絵馬や赤鳥居が奉納され、その信仰が今日に受け継がれている、という事です。
