★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 「あまのいわと」と名のつく場所は日本各地にあるようですが、この位山の天の岩戸にも言い伝えがあります。
山頂付近の広場は開けていて気分のよいところですが、夏などは日陰が無く暑い。この天の岩戸は日陰で、暑い季節の休憩にはいい場所と思います。ベンチなどもあって休憩できるようになっています。
モンデウスのゲレンデから登るルートと、ダナ平林道から登るルートは、ここで合流します。
 It seems that there are places named "Amanoiwato" in various parts of Japan, but there is also a legend in Amano-iwato on the mountain.
The open space near the summit is open and feels good, but in summer it is hot without shade. This Amano-iwato is shaded and I think it is a good place to take a break in the hot season. There is also a bench so that you can take a break.
The route up from the slopes of Mondeus and the route up from the Dana Hirabayashi Road meet here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 飛騨国一ノ宮 水無神社(みなしじんじゃ)の奥宮。
巨石の間に小さなほこらがある。
古代から飛騨に伝わる口碑によると、位山は古代に栄えた飛騨王朝の御陵である。
天の岩戸と呼ばれる巨石の間に、飛騨王朝のスメラミコト(のちの天皇)一族の霊が祀ってある。
歴代の天皇が祭祀の時に手に持つ笏(しゃく)は、ここ位山のイチイの木を使い、ずっと作られている。
なので飛騨王朝と天皇家に何か繋がりがあるかも知れない。
ここの先にある位山頂上にある
ピラミッド岩と鏡石も、パワースポットとして見ておきたい場所である。

There is a small shrine between the megaliths.
According to oral traditions from ancient times to Hida, Mt. Kurai is the royal tomb of the Hida dynasty that prospered in ancient times.
The spirit of the Sumeramikoto (later emperor) clan of the Hida dynasty is enshrined between the megaliths called Amano-iwato.
The shackles that successive emperors hold at the time of rituals have been made using the Ichii tree of Mt. Kurai.
So there may be some connection between the Hida dynasty and the imperial family.

Pyramid rocks and Kagamiishi are also places to see as power spots.
