築城年代は定かではないが天正年間(1573年〜1593年)に吉松石見守によって築かれたと云われる。
城主は吉松石見守の家老三谷友政で、天正5年12月19日(1578年)明智光秀の弟明智光春によって攻撃され落城したという。
 Related to Oda Army Akechi Mitsuhide (younger brother Mitsuharu)
It is said that the castle was built by Yoshimatsu Iwami during the Tensho era (1573-1593), although the age of the castle is unknown.
The lord of the castle is Tomomasa Mitani, the chief retainer of Iwami Yoshimatsu, who is said to have fallen after being attacked by Akechi Mitsuhide's younger brother Akechi Mitsuhide on December 19, 1578.
