L	Larry Suen on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hotel New Otani Osaka is conveniently located right across Osaka Castle Park, with a good view of the Osaka Castle. The guest room is nicely furnished, although the decor is a bit out dated. The bathroom is nicely equipped with all the modernity, including the state-of-art toilet-cum-bidet. The bakery on the ground floor produces some very delicious bread and cakes of a wide range of choices. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Finally, room guests get to use the underground car park at a discount rate, which is very uncommon in Osaka!

With the typhoon approaching Osaka the next day, the staff even reminded me to be careful and let them know if I needed any help in next few days. The room is very spacious! It is nicely decorated with very comfortable bedding. My room has a view on looking the Osaka Castle and Jo-hall. Everything works out great for me during my stay! I will come back again as this is one of my best hotel experience wherever I have travelled!
C	Cal Vin on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very comfortable hotel although a little dated. But still have all the things you need. Near to all. About 15-20 minutes of train or walking to most attractions. The rooms are very large and the reception 1st floor is beautiful. They have a few restaurants in building but very expensive. Try to take higher floor rooms for the views. We were across from the Osaka castle and it's beautiful at night. Staff were excellent and very attentive. Just about everyone spoke some to very good English. Only down side to this hotel is that you have to pay extra to use their pool, spa, etc where other hotels include them.
A	Ami Huang on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Traveled to the hotel from Kyoto and found it accessible from multiple train lines. I alighted from the JR loop line which was a 6 minute walk from the station. The hotel is located near the Osaka castle and park. When my companion and I arrived at 12:30pm, the staff informed us check-in began at 1:30pm and offered to hold our luggage. That worked out fine for our travel needs as we were interested in lunch and sight seeing at the castle. We returned later at around 3:30pm and checked in quickly. The hospitality of the staff members we interacted with was commendable. Someone personally showed us to our room, brought our luggage up, and explained necessary instructions and how to reach them at the front desk. The rooms are well accommodated, but not state of the art. We had booked a superior double, non-smoking room and noticed the entire 12th floor was non-smoking. I would recommend paying attention to that preference during booking. The amenities provided in the bathroom was plentiful as well. Overall a pleasant stay at a lovely and well situated hotel.
E	Erik Velasquez on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hotel is situated next to the river and in the backyard of Osaka castle. Recommend getting a room with a castle view. They have several amenities to keep you busy. They have a sky bar overviewing the nightly skyline. A great upscale hotel!
D	Darwyn Klatt on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What drew me to this hotel was the location. The nearness to the river, the Osaka Castle, and myriad eating and shopping options make it ideal. There is a JR train line just five minute walk away as well as subway options. The rooms are definitely upscale with features like multiple coffee and tea options, a mini bar, shoeshine equipment, and laundry services. I did notice the bathroom was a bit dated in places, but the rest of the room was quite nice. My view of the Osaka Castle was stunning.

Maintenance could be improved a bit, the tiles in the bathroom looked like the needed replacing, some had fine cracks and the grout was damaged. My bed's base also had a rip in it. Lovely other than that. Reception was great.
