★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 犬はギリギリまで行けます。有り難いお寺です。ただ、階段めちゃ登ります。後から気づきましたが近くまで車でも行けます。
Dogs can go to the last minute. Thank you for the temple. Just climb the stairs. I noticed later, but I can go there by car.

歴史あるお寺で紅葉を楽しむことが出来ました。
I'm not good at stairs, so I drove to the parking lot next to it.
I was able to enjoy the autumn leaves at a historic temple.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 飛鳥時代より伝わる犬寺伝説が由縁という、由緒正しいお寺。お話の主役二犬のリアルな石像が珍しい。
また、正門から伸びる参道は中々雰囲気あると思う。
A traditional temple that is associated with the legend of Inuji Temple that has been passed down from the Asuka period. A realistic stone statue of the two dogs who are the main characters of the story is unusual.
I also think that the approach from the main gate has a nice atmosphere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 南北朝時代、但馬の山名氏を迎え撃つために赤松氏がここ法楽寺に陣を張りました。赤松方の後藤八郎左衛門が文和2年(1353年)に法楽寺への進軍を報告しています。その後ここには敵方の山名氏が進軍していますので、このあたりは山名vs赤松の激戦地であったと思われます。今ではその名残りすら見ることはできません。
訪れたのは夏ですが、カエデの木が多く秋の紅葉も綺麗だと思います。
During the Nanbokucho period, Mr. Akamatsu set up a camp here at Horakuji Temple to meet Mr. Yamana of Tajima. Hachirozaemon Goto of Akamatsu reported his advance to Horakuji Temple in 1353. Since the enemy Yamana has been advancing here since then, it seems that this area was a fierce battlefield between Yamana vs. Akamatsu. Now I can't even see the remnants of it.
I visited in the summer, but I think there are many maple trees and the autumn leaves are beautiful.

The autumn leaves are decent. I climbed 250 steps to reach the main hall ? I later learned that there is a way to drive to the front of the main hall ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ご本尊は十一面千手観世音菩薩立像です。秘仏で三十三年ごとの御開帳。本尊開扉はR4.5.3・4。山門まで長い階段ですが、是非行かれてください。素晴らしい景色を見ることができます。
The principal image is the statue of the Eleven-faced Senju Kanzeon Bosatsu. A secret Buddha that opens every 33 years. The main idol opening door is R4.5.3 ・ 4. It is a long staircase to the mountain gate, but please go. You can see a wonderful view.

播州犬寺とも呼ばれ、歴史も古いです。
山の中にあり、少し分かりにくいかもですが……
階段から上がる方法と、車でも行けます。
ただし、車は道幅狭いので注意。
もみじの木がたくさんあるので、紅葉の季節がおすすめです。
