★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 路傍に「本八幡神社」と刻んだ石碑が在るのみです。近くの八幡台団地にある「八幡社」とどんな関係があるのでしょうか？此処から真っ直ぐに北に延びる道は「臼井城」に至る古道で上杉謙信が臼井城攻略に通った道でもあります。
 There is only a stone monument engraved with "Hon Hachiman Shrine" on the roadside. What does it have to do with "Hachimansha" in the nearby Hachimandai housing complex? The road that extends straight north from here is the old road leading to "Usui Castle", which is also the road that Kenshin Uesugi used to capture Usui Castle.
