★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 享保19年(1734年)に本多新田の鎮守として創建されたと云われています。御祭神は誉田別尊(ほむたわけのみこと)です。毎年9月の第2土曜日・日曜日に、本多八幡様を祀るお祭り、本多八幡神社祭礼が開催されています。
It is said that it was built in 1734 as a guardian of Honda Nitta. The deity of the ritual is Homuta Betsuson. Every year on the second Saturday and Sunday of September, the Honda Hachiman Shrine Festival, a festival dedicated to Honda Hachiman, is held.

このお社は本多新田開発の折に『里の鎮守』として里人16人によって、山城の岩清水八幡宮から請け、1735年に創建されましたが、明治18年に火災にあい、10年かけて再建されたものです。
境内の片隅に帽子をかぶった石像があります。風化して顔の細部までは明確ではないが、子供のように見えます。
この石像に、どういう由来があるのか不明ですが、これから先：いつまでも記憶に残りそうな石像です。
境内は広く、明るく、手入れは行き届き、清々しい空気が漂います。

The shrine was built in 1735 by Honda as a guardian of the village at the time of the development of Honda Nitta, and was commissioned by Iwashimizu Hachimangu Shrine in Yamashiro. It was rebuilt over the years.
There is a stone statue with a hat in one corner of the precincts. It is weathered and the details of the face are not clear, but it looks like a child.
It is unknown what the origin of this statue is, but hereafter: it is a stone statue that will remain in memory forever.
The grounds are spacious, bright, well-maintained and have a fresh air.
