1877年に伊勢神宮の分霊を勧請されました。
元は別の場所だったそうで、1899年には伊勢神宮丸亀奉斎所となり、1932年、現在地に遷座。
1976年、本町大神宮となっております。
お賽銭箱が拝殿の床に埋まった形式。
