★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The temple and the scenery are absolutely stunning. The best part is the traditional Buddhist vegetarian cuisine (shojin ryouri). I highly recommend the vegetarian unagi - it's so delicious that I make a special trip any time I visit Hamamatsu.
