旧暦の正月２日　お祭りがあるとのことで参拝した。立派な階段を上がると広い広場があり　数人の人が暖を取っていらっしゃった。お堂の中からは読経が聞こえてきた。１０人ぐらいの人が　熱心に唱えられていた。聞くと　このお堂は　美作市川北の仏法寺さんの管轄である長城寺に付随しているお堂とのこと。この日指の長城寺はこの地方多くの寺に見られるように行基の建立と聞く。多分　奈良から平安にかけては　この位置が広いので　金堂か三重塔でも立っていたのではないかと思わせる。毘沙門天は　インドから中国経由でやってきた神様のようで　日本に来て　色々な呼び名になって呼ばれているが。祭るのは北方を守る神様ともいわれるから　多分　長城寺を守るために作られたのであろうかと推定される。堂の中には　写真のように　たくさんの毘沙門様が祭ってある。このお堂か　縁起が板に書いてあったが　少々すすけていて読むのをやめた。多分　立派なことが書いてあるのだろう。参拝は　階段付近に駐車して　正面より上りたい。1周できる道も改良され　舗装されつつあるのでぐるっと回って　日指を見てもらいたいものです。

About 10 people were singing eagerly. I heard that this temple is attached to Great Wall Temple, which is under the jurisdiction of Buddhist temple in Kawakita, Mimasaka. It is said that the Great Wall Temple of Hinashiki is the establishment of Gyoki as seen in many temples in this region. Perhaps, from Nara to Heian, this position is so wide that it makes me think that he might have stood at Kondo or the three-storied pagoda. Bishamonten is like a god who came from India via China, came to Japan, and is called by various names. It is said that the worship is a god who protects the north, so it is presumed that it was created to protect the Great Wall Temple. There are many Bishamons in the hall as shown in the photo. This temple or “Engi” was written on the board, but I was a little bit helped and stopped reading. Maybe it's a good thing. I want to park near the stairs and go up from the front. The one-lap road has also been improved, and it's getting paved, so I want you to go around and see your finger.
