私は気持ちがザラ付いたり悩んだりした時に海を見に行きます。
そんな時に灯台を見付けると、迷わず進め！と言われている気がして力を貰えている気がしています。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 岩手県の海岸で最南端に位置する岬です。
荒々しい海岸でとても景色が良いです。遠くには陸前椿島灯台が見えます。駐車場は広く、そこから徒歩５分ほどで海岸に出ることが出来ます。俳優の村上弘明さんはこの近くの出身だそうです。
It is the southernmost point on the coast of Iwate Prefecture.
The scenery is very good on a rough coast. In the distance you can see the Rikuzenjima Island lighthouse. The parking lot is large and can be reached on the beach in about 5 minutes on foot. The actor Hiroaki Murakami is from this nearby neighborhood.

You can see Aomatsu Island (Oki Aomatsu Island and Kishi Aomatsu Island), which is designated as a prefectural scenic spot and a natural monument, and Tsubaki Island, which is a national natural monument.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 津波か台風か分かりませんが、海岸沿いの遊歩道が破壊されたままなので、冒険感があってかえってワクワクします。柵等が流出した断崖等がありますので、子供や年配の方を連れて行く際には十分に注意が必要です。国指定天然記念物の椿島ウミネコ繁殖地に船を使わずに到達できるもっとも近い地点ですが、ここからでも沖合約1キロメートルの距離がありますので、繁殖の様子の観察は難しいです。ただ春から初夏にかけて何万羽ものウミネコが飛び交う様子は圧巻で一見の価値ありです。どうしてもウミネコのヒナが見たい人には、広田湾を挟んだ対岸の気仙町要谷漁港にある穴空島を6月後半頃訪ねてみてください。

It is the closest point to reach the Tsubakijima black-tailed gull breeding ground, which is a nationally designated natural monument, without using a boat, but it is difficult to observe the breeding situation because it is about 1 km offshore from here as well. However, the sight of tens of thousands of black-tailed gulls flying from spring to early summer is a sight to behold. If you really want to see black-tailed gull chicks, please visit Anakushima in the Kasencho Yogai fishing port on the opposite bank across Hirota Bay in the latter half of June.

あまり広くはないですが景観は良いです。

遊歩道があり散策もできますが、ウォーキングを楽しめるほどの距離ではありません。
どちらかというと、景色を楽しむ、その場所でリラックスする、そういう目的で行かれたほうが良いかもしれません。
人はいません（他の観光客とであったことがない）。コンビニでサンドイッチとか買って、海を見ながらひとりでランチをするのが好きです。
It's a place I love very much.
There is a promenade where you can take a walk, but it is not far enough to enjoy walking.
If anything, it may be better to go for the purpose of enjoying the scenery, relaxing in the place, and so on.
No one (never with other tourists). I like to buy sandwiches at convenience stores and have lunch alone while looking at the sea.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great spot to chill and to have an adventurous walk next to the see. Sadly you can't enjoy either the view nor the sun from the parking lot, however it's a nice green area to relax.
