Hirosaki Museum of Contemporary Art - Hirosaki

The former Yoshino Shuzo warehouse has been renovated as an art museum and is on display. We are currently switching to the 2021 Fall / Winter program. This is an exhibition of Nui Sano, Erika Kobayashi, Rei Saito, Kelis Win Evans, Yoshio Murakami, and Etsuo Tsukamoto. There was also a model exhibition of architect Kunio Maekawa. Now that I'm distributing cards, I want to collect them.

After the Aomori Museum of Art, I stayed in Hirosaki and went to see it. Maybe it was after the Aomori Museum of Art (because the collection exhibition alone cost about 500 yen) After all I feel that the admission fee is a little high. Goods and annex next to the restaurant, even if you are not a visitor.

I think it's worth visiting just to see this building on the grounds with a good view. I really liked the exhibition space, which has an atmosphere like leaving concrete. After the exhibition, the wooden chairs in the resting space with books etc. were very comfortable to sit on. Although it was at the time of pre-opening, it was a pity that we were not satisfied with the admission fee because the contents of the exhibition were not very substantial.

The "former Yoshii Shuzo Brick Warehouse" has a wonderful appearance and surroundings that I have known for a long time. I entered the museum because it became an art museum in April 2020. I felt that the admission fee was as high as 1300 yen. Pay at the reception and go to the first door. While hearing from the kind staff that you can receive an explanation in the hall with a QR code, As soon as I entered, a group from behind came into the reception lively. The kind staff doesn't even know that a group will come ... (Isn't it possible to cooperate within the information staff ??) Too lively group. Perhaps because I wanted to accommodate as many visitors as possible ... I wanted the receptionist to let me know a word, valuing the feelings of the visitors who want to watch the museum quietly and slowly. I was able to adjust the viewing time at the cafe / shop in the building next door ... In the future, I would like you to support museums rather than sightseeing. There are many nice buildings in Hirosaki, and even if you walk at night, this brick warehouse is also a wonderful building.

The appearance and atmosphere of the building is ★ 5 It's a pity inside, but ★ 3 I visited on weekdays, but people are coming. Everyone is filming the exterior and the brick warehouse. There is a small parking lot in the museum where several cars can be parked, but it cannot be used because there are colored cones (conical figurines). There is a private coin parking nearby, so there is no choice but to use it. If you show the ticket to the affiliated parking lot, the admission fee will be discounted by 100 yen, but how about the admission fee of 1300 yen? .. There is a logo of the Brick Warehouse Museum on the outer wall of the brick at the entrance, and as soon as expectations rise, the Aomori dog, which is larger than a person, will welcome you. It's smaller than the Aomori dog of the Aomori Museum of Art, but ... Expectations are rising ... We accept in the spacious lobby and go to the exhibition room ... "Hmm? There is a big monitor in the middle of several pictures, and it's about 10 minutes in Tagalog? The song is playing endlessly. While the video was playing, the exhibition room was dark, so I watched it even if I wasn't interested, but it was a pain. The image is over and it gets brighter and I see the picture, but there is nothing to draw in and I go to the next exhibition room ... Again, there is an image on the monitor in the middle of several pictures! There are 4 to 5 places, and most people go through without looking at the monitor. Although it was a moderate penance, I enjoyed only the atmosphere. Video is prohibited for shooting, but the photo was okay, but it is a museum that makes you want to take the exterior of the building rather than the work inside ... Next time, if I come, I will only meet the Aomori dog in the exterior and lobby. Up to that point, it's a wonderful museum.

The photos inside are all-you-can-eat except for some. The number is small, but it was interesting because there were many works in which space was often used.

I've seen it from a distance, but it's really nice to see it from a close distance ♪ ◆ Parking lot It's a pity that there is no parking for ordinary people ... However, parking lots for pregnant women and people with disabilities were on the premises. I remember there were about two cars ...? The toll parking lot of the hospital opposite is quite vacant on Saturdays and Sundays, but it seems to be insanely expensive, so it is better to walk a little but park at the affiliated parking lot. When there is a lot of snow, the roads are narrow and snow removal is not in time, so the scaffolding is quite unstable. Boots are recommended. ◆ Museum I don't know much about paintings, but it was refreshing that familiar things were treated as art, unlike the place where only famous works were lined up.
