東海道線が御殿場経由のままだったら(今の御殿場線)小田原駅だってそう、国府津の方がひらけていたかも？
Nearly 100 ancestors dug in the Tanna Tunnel and Shin-Tanna Tunnel for their lives, so there is the development of Atami, Kannami, Mishima, and Higashiizu as a whole.
If the Tokaido Line remained via Gotemba (now Gotemba Line), Odawara Station might have been open to Kouzu.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ちょっとした山道の奥にひっそりと佇んでいます。慰霊碑の前には東海道本線と、東海道新幹線が今日も忙しなく行き交います。
It stands quietly behind a small mountain path. In front of the memorial monument, the Tokaido Main Line and the Tokaido Shinkansen are still busy today.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 隧道工事西側工区の犠牲者36名の慰霊碑で、鹿島組（現在の鹿島建設）が建立した。なお、熱海側の東口上には、鉄道省が建立の全殉職者67名の慰霊碑がある。
長年樹木に覆われていたが、近年整備されて東海道線電車の車窓からも見えるようになった。
毎年9月に慰霊祭が行われていたが、2020年は新型コロナウィルス対策で中止された。
The Kajima group (currently Kajima Construction) was erected at the memorial monument for 36 victims of the tunnel construction west side construction area. On the east exit on the Atami side, there is a memorial monument for all 67 line of duty deaths built by the Ministry of Railways.
It has been covered with trees for many years, but it has been improved in recent years and can be seen from the train window of the Tokaido Line train.
A memorial service was held in September every year, but it was canceled in 2020 due to measures against the new coronavirus.
