★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 岩の上に弁天様を祀った赤い祠があります。弁天様は海の場合港の入り口付近にあることが多いのですが、ここは陸上にあるように見えます。これは1964年（昭和39年）6月の新潟地震によって島が隆起してしまったためと、1974年（昭和49年）3月に起きた地滑り後の港の改修によって、それこそ陸の孤島？のようになってしまったからです。
弁天岩の池のように見えるのは実は海です。現在でも港とは水路で繋がっていて、潮の干満によって海水が出入りします。魚も往来自由なので、時々良型のクロダイが（時にはマダイも）泳いでいるのが見えます。釣り堀ではないので釣ってもよいそうです。（貸し竿は近くの売店組合にあります。）
５月初めには桜が、６月になると岩百合が弁天岩に彩りを添えます。狭いところですがバードウォッチングのポイントにもなっていて、５月の連休前後には結構珍しい鳥がいることがあるので見逃せない場所になっています。

This is because the island was raised by the Niigata earthquake in June 1964 and the port after the landslide that occurred in March 1974 (Showa 49). Because it has become like this.
The sea looks like a Benteniwa pond. Even today, the port is connected by a waterway, and seawater enters and exits due to tides. Since fish are also free, you can see sometimes good-looking black daisies (and sometimes red sea breams) swimming. It ’s not a fishing pond, so you can catch it. (Lents are available at a nearby store association.)
Cherry blossoms are added to the beginning of May, and Yuri Iwa adds color to Benteniwa in June. Although it is a small place, it is also a bird watching point, and there are quite rare birds around the May holidays, so it is a place that can not be overlooked.
