製造元の飛塚製鋏所の女将さんからお茶を出していただき、山形打ち刃物の現状をお聞きしました。
現在、山形市にある打ち刃物工場は５軒で、そのうち、後継者がいて、複数の職人さんがいるのは飛塚さんの工場だけでそうです。
以前は８割がOEM生産だったそうですが、ホームページを作り、和風総本家でイギリスで飛塚製鋏所の鋏が使われていることを紹介されたり、世界に股をかける日本人女性カカオハンターが飛塚製鋏所の鋏を使っていたり、様々な国に輸出され、自社ブランドが６割を超えるようになったそうです。
