★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 創立年月日は不明。日本武尊が東夷征伐の為立ち寄った御縁があり祀られている。
1900年前、日本武尊が掘らせた「手水池」があり日照りが続いても涸れない不思議な池。「水が澄むと平和、濁ると争いが起こる」と言い伝えられている。
また境内には「磐境(いわさか)」がある。
社殿で祀る習慣がない古い時代に、祀りのために臨時で設けられた小規模・石囲いの祭場施設。かなり古いものと思われる。
