★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 現在の白山神社の境内を含む周囲が、後谷城として存在していたとの説明板が現地にあります。城主の城館・家臣団の住居地区と考えると地方豪族の典型的な館だったのであろうと思います。遺構としては空堀らしき場所・土塁らしき盛土など見ることが出来ますが、説明板には図による説明は無いので、文面からそうであろうという程度で見ています。今は名前しかない城跡ですが、ここにも戦国時代の波が襲ってきたのは事実です。なお、白山神社（含む城跡）へは入り口が柵により閉鎖されていますが害獣対策の為でありロックを解除して入るのは可能、ただし出入り後は元に戻すことを忘れずに。今回は車で訪れてますが、周辺に停車出来る場所を（個人的に）見つけることが出来ませんでした。なので少し離れた安全な場所に停めて残りは徒歩で訪れてます。
 There is an explanation board on the site that the surrounding area including the precincts of the current Hakusan Shrine existed as Gotani Castle. If you think of it as the castle of the castle owner and the residential area of the vassals, I think it was a typical building of a local lord. As for the remains, you can see places that look like empty moats and embankments that look like earthworks, but since there is no explanation in the figure on the explanation board, I see it as if it were from the text. It is a castle ruin that has only a name now, but it is a fact that the waves of the Warring States period struck here as well. The entrance to Hakusan Shrine (including the ruins of the castle) is closed by a fence, but it is possible to unlock it to enter as a countermeasure against vermin, but be sure to restore it after entering and exiting. I visited by car this time, but I couldn't (personally) find a place to stop around. So I parked in a safe place a little away and visited the rest on foot.
