全長56.9ｍ、美作地方最古級の前方後円墳。
後円部径32.4ｍ、高さ6.35ｍ、後円部3段・前方部2段築成で葺石を備える。埴輪は確認されていない。後円部墳頂で竪穴式石槨2基、箱式石棺2基が見つかり、捩文鏡や鉄剣、鉄鏃、鉄斧、刀子などが出土している。
県指定史跡（日上天王山古墳・日上畝山古墳群）、2000（平成12）年指定。
 Hikamiten no Uyama Kofun
With a total length of 56.9m, it is the oldest keyhole-shaped tumulus in the Mimasaka region.
The diameter of the rear circle is 32.4m, the height is 6.35m, and the rear circle has 3 steps and the front part has 2 steps. Haniwa has not been confirmed. Two pit-type sarcophagus and two box-type sarcophagus were found at the top of the rear circular burial mound, and twisted mirrors, iron swords, iron irons, iron axes, and swords were excavated.
Prefectural designated historic sites (Hikami Tennoyama tumulus, Hikami ridge mountain tumulus group), designated in 2000 (Heisei 12).
