Definitely check out if you’re in the area, and frankly good enough to make a little journey out of your way if you’re close by. Cash only!

Y	Yugo & Romy on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ lovely family run place. very much a traditional tonkatsuya. opened in 1955. the tonkatsu is fried in pure lard. the tonjiru soup is a fabulous example of good miso soup. try the tonkatsu with a little salt or a little soy sauce for a change from the tonkatsu sauce. the interior is old. the boiler looks like it was from the last century. the counter is worn and the til is an antique. just a great throw back to another era.

The meat is tender, the batter is savory, the deep frying is just right. Straight forward, simple, and delicious. Tomato is savory and served cold and compliments the meal perfectly. The only place I go for Tonkatsu. Highly recommended.

C	Christel Ghawi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing katsu with a homemade feel. The star is the juicy choice (上) pork loin katsu. Also ordered the steamed pork on a whim, and it turned out incredible. The kushikatsu (串カツ) was also fantastic, with onion inside. Even the weiner was good! The service was friendly, attentive and thoughtful. They even had an English menu!
