At first he was kind, but when he was contacting with the mansion’s office, they asked if I can communicate in Japanese. He then answered and laughed at my Japanese level. Literally, laughed out loud for like two seconds. It’s extremely awkward and rude. I guess he thought I wouldn’t understand what they were talking about, but I did. And I don’t think he would do the same if there was a Japanese sitting in front of him.
I don’t think it’s a big deal frankly, but as a foreigner living in Tokyo. I felt insulted, it’s extremely unprofessional. I love Japan and it’s people, most of them are very nice, but that guy is not.
