★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 安城市指定史跡である東端城址の碑があります。
1580年に長田尚勝が築城したと伝えられます。
1584年には尚勝の弟直勝が城主となり、姓を永井に改めました。
直勝は、大阪冬の陣・夏の陣で活躍したことから、1617年には常陸国笠間城の城主となり、東端城を転出したため、廃城となりました。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 敷地内に竹燈籠が沢山飾られていて、とても綺麗です。夜はライトアップもしていますが、昼間に見ても、とても素敵です。
Many bamboo lanterns are displayed on the premises and it is very beautiful. It is lit up at night, but it is very nice to see in the daytime.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 3月4日ご参拝。東端城跡地に城山稲荷神社があり参拝者専用駐車場(20数台)に梅園が有る。梅花は、来週中に見頃と思われる。早咲き桜?も来週末か？
Visit on March 4th. There is Shiroyama Inari Shrine on the site of the eastern end of the castle, and there is a plum garden in the parking lot for worshipers (more than 20 cars). Plum blossoms are expected to be in full bloom next week. Is early blooming cherry blossoms ? next weekend?
