This place gives out a fancy feeling because the decorations seem so real, the river the bamboos and the tiny rooms shine with style... Perfect to bring tourist for a japanese experience. The food and drinks are quite cheap and the portions nice, specially ordering a la carte. Since the rooms are quite big and the nomihodai affordable, it is a really nice choice for an event or party with friends, colleges or people visiting town. But mind that the nomihodai only works with course menus. I will give 5 starts if it had a view, but unfortunately is underground.

The trickling stream (populated with fish) running through the restaurant was super cool; they also had a pond with a live turtle that you could buy to eat for dinner (which is cool, if a little squeamish). The food was good and the entire place is great for a slightly calmer izakaya experience.
