★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am leaving Japan soon and wanted to sell off some clothes and books. Was told long sleeve shirts can be traded at 1 yen only. Though the long sleeves i showed the staff was wearable throughout four seasons, its just ridiculous to be traded in at 1 yen. When i looked around the second hand clothings in the shop, its mostly above 1000yen. A simple tshirt or a worn out long sleeve is priced 1000 yen above!! A newly barely read book is traded at 200 yen. My goodness.... most books in the shop is 700 yen above.... Hardoff or Off House used to be one of the preferred recycled shop in Japan due to its affordability recycle products. Now....????

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is one of my favourite shops! I love second hand stuff, in fact I usually refuse to buy new things unless I absolutely have to. So this place is a lifesaver for me. The prices are super reasonable IMO and they have just about anything you need! I got a rice cooker that was basically never used for less than half the original price :D

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Konno is amazing, his customer service went so far over and above. I needed to find a cell phone that had a sim unlocked. And he helped me look through their large selection, then helped me check to see if it would be compatible with the network I will use, as this is a gift. Talk about exceptional customer service, wide selection of everything. I would highly recommend this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hardoff has stores all over Japan and you can get almost anything which is second hand. Sports, decorative, electronic, fashion, music items all all available. Luis Vuitton bags to Sony electronics, everything is available at second hand prices.
It also has a second hand book store called BookOff.
You can get stuff at a throw away prices.
