I haven't been able to continue my lessons, but this trumpet class has been going on for a long time.

Even inexperienced people like me who started trumpet after becoming a member of society who had no experience with wind instruments when I was a student can teach from the basics, so I can go to lessons with confidence. It is also recommended to be near the station.

For over a year since I started attending, I take one hour lessons about once a month. I have a long experience with trumpet, but I searched for and found a teacher to learn jazz. Playing an instrument well and being able to play jazz are, of course, related, but basically different. In recent years, various information has been circulating, but it is very difficult to self-teach because there is no such thing as a method from where to practice. That's why I need to take lessons directly with someone, but I realize that teaching jazz is not an easy task, but that it has the ability and motivation. Professor Kanamura is an extremely rare jazz trumpeter who combines them. Mr. Kanamura listened to what the students were doing without missing anything, and then asked "what is happening now" and "what is important to pay attention to when playing and practicing". I will try to explain from various points of view. It may contain abstract content, but I try to convey it in various ways. This kind of communication requires effort by both the person who communicates and the person who receives it, but if you continue persistently, the possibilities will open up. Although Professor Kanamura is not a famous artist (excuse me), I think he has considerable ability and motivation to continue the above-mentioned efforts as a leader. It seems that he studied abroad at the College of Music in the United States after graduating from an ordinary university in Japan, but he is a person who feels well-educated and clever before music. Jimmy Owens, who studied in the United States, has worked with many of the leading musicians of the modern jazz era, although he has few recordings in his own name, and can be said to be a person who has lived in real jazz. For example, if you search for "jazz trumpet lesson", you can find out, but there is no other person like this. There is only one teacher who is a trumpet player who organizes a music class by himself, whose main business is jazz, and who has learned directly from the real thing, and who can be taught by ordinary working people with a monthly fee.
