★ ★ ★ ★ ★ この神社の所在する平六町目というのは後付けの地名で、元は祢宜町と今は無き立町のちょうど境目あたりでした。一町目～五町目と違い最近出来た地名です。
なので五町目までは「平字〇町目」ですが六町目は字が付かない「平六町目」です。
本題ですがなぜ祢宜町といったかというとこの神社裏手のあたりに禰宜の屋敷があったからだそうなのです。
ですから今残っている祢宜町の範囲は禰宜とは特に関係がないのだと思われます。旧ヨーカ堂平店の土地や線路を超えて城東の一部まで昔は祢宜町でした。
 Tairarokuchome, where this shrine is located, is a postscript place name, and was originally just around the border between Negimachi and now Tachimachi. It is a place name that was recently created, unlike the first to fifth towns.
Therefore, up to the 5th town, it is "Taira 〇machime", but the 6th town is "Taira Rokuchome" without letters.
The main subject is that the reason why it is called Negimachi is that there was a mansion of Negi near the back of this shrine.
Therefore, it seems that the range of Negimachi that remains now has nothing to do with Negi. It used to be Negimachi, beyond the land and railroad tracks of the former Yoka Dodaira store, to a part of Joto.
