It's a place that completely wastes your time and money. You can't learn anything valuable here. But apart from that, I also don't believe that other similar schools in Japan can be better.

I wasted 1 million yen each year and wasted 8 hours per day just to learn useless skills and get treated badly because i refused to suck up to the incompetent teachers. What I meant by the teachers being incompetent is that they act like gods and treat the students like children even though all the students are adults.

For all the English speaking foreign students thinking of studying here: don't. HAL is a fraud vocational school. Once they get you to pay the year tuition in a lump sum prior to start, they don't do a thing for you after that. You'd have better use of your time and money staying home and following along with youtube tutorials. Class time and attendance is needlessly long and strict. Hundreds of hours wasted in class watching the staff put on the airs of being a school. Don't expect to get anything done. Their claim of 100% employment rate: 100% False Financial support for foreign students: Minimal to none. Absolutely no language support. "You want to live and work in Japan? Then speak Japanese!" The only thing that the institution has going for it is its name and location. If there is anyone out there currently attending who is more versed in Japanese and knows their way around the Japanese legal system, please file a lawsuit. I'd love to sue these guys.

The building looks great from the outside, but keep in mind that there are 3 schools inside one building. Means that we have to share the elevators, student lounge, and other facilities. Elevators are extremely crowded in the morning, during lunch break, and in the evening (end of class). Despite the high tuition, the school doesn't provide you with good facilities. All the computers in the computer rooms are very old and take almost 10 minutes to boot up. Teachers said that students are free to use the computers and printers in school as long as there are no class in the computer rooms, which never happens because the school is extremely overcrowded. There is no cafeteria. Only one small 7eleven on the 2nd floor which is always super crowded every lunchbreak. Even if you bring your own bento, there's no place to reheat it. And you can only eat in student lounge area. The lounges itself are small (can only accommodate 20 people max) with really uncomfortable chairs (which again, you have to share with other schools). No support for foreign students at all, despite the fact that 30%-40% of the students are foreign students (mostly Chinese). Student employment support is also trash. The school takes pride in their 100% employment rate, which is not true at all. You basically start your own job hunt, apply to different companies and when you finally get a job offer, the school takes all the credits for your effort. They don't care what industry you ends up in, even if you studied CG or Programming, school doesn't care if you ends up being a clerk in a convenience store.
