Loved it here! Feels like a Japanese resort. Not overcrowded, good terrain. If you can get out here!

Smaller resort but a good variety of runs. Friendly staff. Minimal line ups. Good for learning and those not looking for extreme challenges.

Wide open ski fields with a lot of ungroomed long runs and plenty of powder to play in. View of a gorgeous lake from the top! Resturaunt had amazing food. Wednesday is mens day so lift tickets are discounted.

One of the best natural Skii resort for beginner to intermediate level Skii / Snowboarders. Less crowded comparatively and well maintained public facilities. Rentals (Snowboard/Skii set) are the cheapest we have seen in and around Nagano / Niigata. Plenty of free parking space. Skii School was also good, lesson for kid (debut) was of 2 hours during which instructor brought the kids confidence to the level of getting on to the lift on their own.

Would be a nice ski area but not great for intermediate to advanced snowboarders. Many of the runs have been ruined for snowboarders due to skiers creating big mogul hills

Not as busy as many of the other hakuba valley resorts but well designed and incredible powder off trail skiing and boarding. Friendly as well for kids. Plan To go again on a clear day

Came to Kashimayari for a change and was pleasantly surprised. A lot less crowded than Happo One and Hakuba 47 and runs are just as good in my opinion. A range of terrain from beginner to advanced, and even a small terrain park which many other resorts lack. Unfortunately the days I went to Kashimayari the snow was average at best but on a good snow day it could be fabulous. The restaurant is one of the best in Hakuba Valley, it has good food, reasonable prices and I have never had trouble finding a table. Only issue is having to exchange your valley passes at the start and end of the day however only takes a couple minutes. An Underated resort!!

Some great tree riding when the top lift is riding and the snow is pumping. Very few tourists bother getting the shuttle down from Happo or Echoland so it's relatively quieter than the other hills on the Valley pass. Mostly a locals hill for the nearby town of Omachi, and still a little behind the other Valley resorts in infrastructure (swap your season pass for a paper ticket, for example). All in all it's a fun place to ride with good challenges for all levels.
