★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 拙宅から駅へ向かう途中にある市立小学校です。やや下町っぽい町並みの中にあります。
学校ホームページに拠りますと、全校児童は約550人とのこと。
私は当校の卒業生ではありませんが、卒業した小学校(八王子市内)の在校生は800人弱でしたから、小学生の数は減っているのだ、という印象を持ちました。
2020年は、学校の日程と行事は大幅変更になり、私も勝手ながら心配しました。感染防止対策、短縮プログラム、参観者人数制限のもと、校内運動会を開催したことは、ご英断だったと私は思います。
2020年6月「霊気満山高尾山 人々の祈りが紡ぐ桑都物語」のストーリーが日本遺産に認定され、学校東側を通る道路に沿った柵に、日本遺産認定を祝した「霊気満山、高尾山」の横断幕が掲げられました(当校以外にも、市内各所に掲示されています)。
 It is a municipal elementary school on the way from my house to the station. It is located in a slightly downtown area.
According to the school homepage, there are about 550 children in all schools.
Although I am not a graduate of our school, the number of elementary school students who graduated from the elementary school (in Hachioji city) was less than 800, so I had the impression that the number of elementary school students is decreasing.
In 2020, the school schedule and events changed drastically, and I was worried about it. I think it was a wise decision to hold an athletic meet in the school under the infection prevention measures, shortening program, and restrictions on the number of visitors.
In June 2020, the story of "Mt. Reiki Mt. Takao, the story of Kuwato spun by people's prayers" was certified as a Japanese heritage, and on the fence along the road passing through the east side of the school, "Mt. Was displayed (posted in various places in the city other than our school).
