★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 小さな無人駅です。駅舎は小綺麗に改装されています。大日霊貴神社を訪れた時に寄りました。駅の向かいに無料の駐車場があり、大日霊貴神社を見学に来た際は、停めてもいいようです。
It is a small unmanned station. The station building has been refurbished neatly. I stopped by when I visited Dainichi Reki Shrine. There is a free parking lot opposite the station, and you can park it when you visit the Dainichi Reiki Shrine.

松尾八幡平駅があり、少々紛らわしいが、
こちらは鹿角側の八幡平入口。
因みに駅名自体は
こちらの方が遥かに先輩であり、
松尾八幡平の方は大分後年に
岩手松尾から改名したもの。
現在の八幡平駅は小綺麗ではあるものの、
駅員はいない無人駅であり、
一日平均利用者数も20人台ほどと、
観光地名を冠した駅にしては
寂し過ぎる状況となっている。
